Tasa Coffee Roasters is a family-owned café and roastery located in Chicago’s West Humboldt Park, founded by chef Jackie Marquez and her husband Pierre. Inspired by their shared love for coffee and culinary arts, they began roasting on their patio during the COVID-19 pandemic and opened Tasa in 2022. As a Latina-owned, woman-forward business, Tasa celebrates culture through its specialty drinks like Horchata Cold Brew and homemade empanadas and tamales. Committed to equity and sustainability, they support fair wages for employees and coffee farmers alike. With cozy seating for 40, Tasa Coffee Roasters is the perfect spot to relax, work remotely, or catch up with friends over freshly roasted coffee and handcrafted bites.

Café Colao is a Puerto Rican coffee shop in Chicago's Humboldt Park Neighborhood serving café con leche, cortaditos, avena de coco, fresh sandwiches on our baked bread, and traditional Puerto Rican pastries. The 9,000 square foot Armitage Avenue Car Barn has been transformed with a creative use of space and materials, incorporating coffee shipping containers into the design.
